Sweet place to watch the ocean. Can also see the ocean from the hot-tub. Space is everything you need. Can walk to town in a couple of minutes. It is very small si best for one or two at the most. Has stairs so only for able bodied folks. Housing management was so helpful and responsive! I would stay again!

Place was great! The only thing to take into account before reserving, is there are some pretty steep steps going up to the cabin. Anyone with mobility issues, may want to consider that. Did not impact our stay.

Perfect for just the two of us.

We came to the Oregon Coast for to celebrate 15 years since we got engaged in Newport. This was our first trip sans kids. Even though it was winter time, we had a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful coastal view from inside the cottage and outside in the hot tub. It suited our needs perfectly.

Too many steps for senior citizens. We couldn’t find any washcloths. The place was very clean.

Wonderful views of the ocean with the relaxing sounds of waves flowing on the beach. Cabin was very clean with many amenities provided. Short walk to the beach. The manager was available if needed. Bed wars very comfortable and there was plenty of wood for a fire. Parking was directly in front of the cottage. Stairs are a bit steep, so take your time going up and down. Had a wonderful stay.

This place has a great view. It was very nice inside and very clean. The only problem was the hot tub motor is extremely loud. So loud that it takes away from hear the ocean. The hot tub motor ran excessively. It would be great if it would only would be programmed to run during the day. Otherwise this is a beautiful location with stunning views and can walk or drive to the beach in minutes.

Perfect cabin for 2 + our dog

Had a lovely time staying at Oceanside at the cottage. It was the perfect size for us and 2 dogs. We enjoyed long walks on the beach and then getting into the hot tub. The views are amazing. Dogs loved hanging out on the deck with us mornings and evenings. A short walk to the beach.

This was our second time at Little Luxe Retreat, and it delivered again. Great communication, amazing views, cozy and clean space, well-equipped kitchen, lovely fireplace and hot tub.

Little Lux is in a great Oceanside location. It’s an easy but invigorating downhill (and uphill) walk to the town. The views are great. The cabin was perfect for me and the dog. Very comfortable, nice deck and private. The hot tub was inviting but I didn’t get around to using it. It would be great for a couple. The only negative, I could not get the tv to work, although there were instructions. It was a big football weekend so I had to partake in the local bar culture to watch the games, which was not necessarily a hardship. I do recommend bringing DVDs just in case.

This little place is cozy and sweet. Well-stocked kitchen and fun to cook in. (but not many seasonings, and the oven has no temp gauge - bring an oven thermometer if that matters to you).
Shore Thing makes sure their houses are super clean and in order. Nice personal touches such as flowers and chocolate, and someone is available to help all the time. (A main reason I prefer them to other coastal companies) That said, this house offers a fireplace, and a nice stack of firewood. But there was no kindling and only one small sheet of newspaper. Starting a fire with large logs and no kindling (no axe or hatchet were supplied)and minimal newspaper is pretty impossible. And I am a fire making pro. It would be great if the owners also supplied kindling and firestarters/newspaper. And an axe. When I texted about it I was told that none of their homes (Shore Thing) provide kindling and that I could drive back a few miles in the dark and sleet to buy kindling. So, be forewarned - bring your own or stop on the way. Ask specifically if there will be kindling. Sarah did bring me her own hatchet and some paper bags for our last night there. And I was grateful for that. Once going, the fireplace is fabulous.
The small hot tub was great. As others have noted, it is not private, visible from house/entry next door and from above. But our few days were so wet, windy and dark that that didn't matter. No-one else at the beach! Our soaks were splendid.

This was our second time staying at this property. The house is comfortable and cozy offering great ocean views. It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach. There's a nice wood stove and a hot tub, both of which we used. The property is also dog friendly. The house was immaculate upon arrival. The management company was attentive and provided good customer service.

We were surprised by the sis’s of the place but it was perfect for just two people. Not a ton of privacy as the neighbors share the same stairs and deck space where the hot tub is.

This rental was very clean and has everything you need to enjoy the ocean. Close to ocean and many things along the coast. We loved it!!

I stayed for a week and enjoyed this cottage. Lovely and well appointed with wonderful view, deck and hot tub. Furniture was nice, bed comfortable, and the kitchen is fine if you don't really want to cook much of anything. The stairs are very steep and the steps narrow (can be a bit of a challenge and frankly a bit dangerous). The property managers were very good and I would definitely recommend for a short stay.

We really loved the Little Lux Retreat. It has such a great view & is located close to everything you would want in Oceanside. We really enjoyed the weather, privacy, and wonderful views. The proximity to the beach was really great. I would suggest bringing a good set of binoculars as you can see the entire town. The only takeaway would be hauling all our belongings up & down the many steep stairs. We were pretty worn out after that, but it’s a little expected in this town built on a hillside.

The cottage was well equipped with everything needed to relax. Small, quaint cottage with great views on what we considered the best getaway location on our coastal trip.

We loved this rental. It’s tiny, but had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy. The owner did a great job making the small space functional. I’d say this rental is perfect for one couple (or one couple and a kid), but would probably feel quite tight with 2 couples. The views from the living room and deck were breathtaking, the wood burning fireplace was cozy, and the location was perfect, within close walking distance to the beach access point and a few restaurants. We also appreciated that there was a hot tub! We would absolutely stay here again!

This is a charming cottage for two people, and a pet if you have one. It's exactly as described. The view of the ocean is beautiful, and it's a short walk to the beach. Parking is good. The communication about the rental and your stay is the best we've ever seen. You won't be disappointed!

The Little Luxe Retreat was exactly what we were looking for -- the house is small but very functional, with everything we needed for a long weekend away. We enjoyed the sweeping views of the coast and watching the weather roll in through the big front windows. The hot tub was fantastic, the bed was comfortable, and I loved the heated floors in the bathroom. Thanks for everything!

We have stayed at Little Luxe 3 times and now booked for a fourth. We’ve referred friends to it as well, who stayed there and loved it. Perfect size for two people, Maxwell Mountain Rd. Is our favorite beach location, beautiful view from the front window, functional (small) kitchen and even a nice hot tub. Made our favorite vacation even better!

The Shore Thing team were amazing to work with and this home is so beautiful. The walk down to the beach is lovely. Oceanside is tucked away and pristine. I highly recommend this spot for your stay.

Wonderful house for two people (and possibly one child). Beautiful views, above the tsunami zone (but easy walk to the beach). If you are planning a stay of over three or four days, it is a little short on cupboard or shelf space for foodstuffs.

Cute little spot with a great view. Was just right for my partner and I. Place was well stock with everything you'd expect. Hot tub was a huge plus! Management was very helpful and responsive. No complaints at all, would stay again.

My husband and I stayed here for our three year anniversary. What a treat! We were able to whale watch from the living room with our coffee in the morning. Great view on a quiet street, walking distance to what Oceanside has to offer, including a lovely beach. We loved the quiet and laid back nature of Oceanside - not a lot of hustle and bustle. The home is absolutely beautiful, very well stocked and perfect for two people. Our experience with management was very pleasant - they were very accommodating and quick to respond. Sitting in the hot tub, listening to the ocean, looking at the stars was the perfect way to spend our anniversary. The home is clean with thoughtful touches that make a vacation stay worthwhile. We would return in a heartbeat!

The pictures do not do justice to this sweet little spot. As we were walking down the road to the beach, a local stopped us and said, "you found paradise, didn't you?" and we couldn't agree more. Oceanside is very quiet and this perch on the hill could not have been more pleasant. Even though the kitchen is small, it had everything we needed. The hot tub was an added bonus. If you need shopping, Tillamook is a 20 minute drive in. We spent most of our time just enjoying the view and spending time at the beach. Highly recommend. Good for the soul!

Overall we enjoyed our little cabin. The 5 days we were there were very quiet with very few people on the beach or in the rentals around us.The internet service was sporadic, so did not have use of the house phone (or cells), Netflix did not work at all. The candles in the bedroom would have been a nice touch if the batteries had not been dead, light over the stove did not work and the light at bottom of the steps at the street was out. Sheets on bed were crumpled, like the fitted sheet was too big for the bed.

From the moment we arrived and opened the door to the sad day we had to leave, we were utterly charmed by the property. The location and views were fantastic!. The hot tub was a welcome and relaxing surprise. Clean and very functional. Stayed at many cabins in OCeanside and would highly recommend this one! For afterdark TV, it was the best set up and selection we have found. Thanks for sharing with us the entire breathtakingly beautiful weekend!

Great location, amazing view and very welcoming. This little beach cottage was exactly what we were wanting for our little honeymoon away! We will definitely be staying here again

Well, to start off I guess we should expect it since it is a dog friendly rental that there was dog hair all over. My wife wore black sweats that became covered in dog hair. Memory foam mattresses are not for everyone!! It took a couple of nights to adjust to the bed. The fireplace was nice for this time of the year and particularly for the weather we had. But, it would be helpful if there was some paper to start the fire with and some firewood that wasn't wet, half rotten, and covered with dirt!! SORRY, that was NOT firewood!! Lastly, for what we were paying I think it was pretty LOW to ask the guest to start the laundry.....SERIOUSLY! I'm on vacation!! Oh ya, BE CAREFUL on the very steep and short steps!

It was perfect. As described. Clean. Communication with owners/management was perfect. Everything we needed and more. Just delightful. Thank you so much.

My wife and I found the Little Luxe Retreat to be just right for the two of us. The management company was great to work with - accommodating an early check-in and delivering firewood.

Charming, good view of Cape Lookout and ocean, has hot tub. There is no storage for clothes, however. Nicely furnished, but bureau and cabinet full of towels and linens. Realistically, it sleeps two adults comfortably if you leave your suitcases in the living room.

What a little gem the Little Luxe Retreat is! It may be small, but it is perfect for a getaway for two! All the touches and amenities were well thought out and we had everything we needed. We loved the view and sitting on the deck. The hot tub was great on chilly nights. The stairs leading up to the cottage were not a problem for us, but could be for some. Bed pillows were on the flat side..some new fluffy ones would be great. Would love to come back!

Though it may seem small when you first walk in, but for two people it was just right! My husband and I loved the beautiful view of the water and the beach in the mornings! The only confusing thing was when someone parked in front of the address when we first arrived.

This beach house was stunning! Very clean house. Service was good. Theres a cave and a tunnel down at the beach you can explore. View was beautiful.

We stayed three nights at this sweet little beach house and it was perfect for us. The hot tub is lovely, we enjoyed using the barbecue, all of this right on the deck overlooking the beach. Bed was comfortable. The interior was cozy and really gave us the feel of being both pampered and content. We will definitely return.

We had a very enjoyable stay! The cottage was very clean, view was great, very creative use of the small space in cottage. The one downside for us is that the bedroom is small, one side of bed is against a wall which makes getting in and out of bed difficult. The bed blocks one entry off living room (to enter you need to climb over bed) and you need to go through kitchen & small hall to enter on other side.

We had a little bit of a rough start getting into the house due to some communication issues, make sure you have the code before you leave
town and lose cell service. :) Roseanna's cafe was so nice and helpful to let us use their phone though and we got it figured out!

The house was very well kept and the perfect size for two people. Lots of extras to use, Netflix and wifi were great, some games, and a great view/deck. We absolutely loved being so close to the beach and went beachcombing every morning. Saw some seals, found shells, agates, and sand dollars. The house is a great point to explore from also. We drove down the coast to Yaquina Head to see more coastal towns, and also went North to go crabbing... Kelly's Brighton Marina was a fabulous adventure!! Close to Tillamook for extra food options, and the state forest. And, close enough to Portland to make a day trip or two!

We had a wonderful time and would most definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for adventure... or a relaxing beach escape. :)

It was a small but cute house with amazing views of the Oceanside beach. If you don't mind limited kitchen space for you and/or for your partner, it is perfect for a weekend getaway. Watch out for the steep stairs up!

The bed was super comfortabl. The view from the windows and the deck was beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice quiet relaxing stay. I must add the owner was super helpful and available if needed.

This was our favorite place on our recent vacation. The house was extremely nice and accommodating with everything we needed to cook and relax. The views were amazing and the ability to walk to the beach or to get a bite to eat was really great. The hot tub was just the cherry on top.

We stayed for a weekend during May -- weather was great so we walked down to pub at Netarts. Beach is great - walked for miles. House is so well designed that the smaller size isn't really an issue. The decor is beautiful and functional.

This cozy little lair was just right for us. Great view, remote but not isolated, a stone's throw to the beach and delicious eats right near by. We were very pleased with our stay!

We had such a wonderful time at this little cabin! It was the perfect get away for spring break. Inside had everything we could need...washer, dryer, dishwasher, Keurig, cooking utensils, Netflix for the kids, plenty of towels, etc. The view was incredible! The hot tub was wonderful too. The only thing I would change is the pullout sofa. My husband and I wanted to stay up and watch a movie so we put the kids in the bedroom. Painful mistake! Otherwise it was perfect!

Perfect place for a romantic getaway. Well appointed, ideally located retreat with great amenities. Ocean views and short walk to beach and restaurants were ideal. We will be back and recommend this lovely place to others.

We had the best time at little lux. An incredible view, a functional living environment and a very helpful host. I proposed to my girlfriend at the Lighthouse up the road and Monica made sure to make the home particularly beautiful and went beyond any host I've experienced in vrbo or airbnb. The kitchen was perfect, and well thought out - we cooked a live crab, oysters, pancakes and chowder with our leftovers. We made use of the hot tub and the fireplace to satisfaction and most importantly - She said Yes!

We visited during February, not really beach season but we enjoyed our time in Oceanside. The views from the cottage were stunning. It was clean and well equipped. We cooked light meals and everything we needed was available. It appeared it had recently been updated. The one odd thing about the place was the bedroom. The bed was comfortable but the room was cramped.
We met the neighbors who filled us in on restaurants, local cities to visit and the hike up the hill to even more stunning views. While hiking up the hill we had views of the seals sunning themselves on the rocks.
We didn't have an opportunity to use the Jacuzzi but it looked inviting. There is no cell phone reception but the cottage is equipped with Wi-fi so we were able to text message and it has a land line for use. It also had Netflix and cable TV so when we had down time we could wrap up in a comforter and entertain ourselves. It is an easy walk to the beach and while there we found many sand dollars and other sea treasures. Loved this place and will definitely rent again.

We had a great experience. Oceanside was such a cute, quiet little town and is so incredibly picturesque. We will definitely be coming back. The house itself was beautiful, clean, and newly remodeled. You can walk to the beach and restaurants in just a minute or two and has a perfect view of the ocean. The hot tub was perfect! Love love loved everything about our stay, I couldn't recommend it more.

My husband and I had never stayed at Oceanside before, typically we stay in Lincoln City or Pacific City. Were were happily surprised when we walked in the door. Everything was spotless, and so cute! Not to mention the heated tile in the bathroom floor. The hot tub was perfect for two people and the view can't be beat. We felt like we were on a secluded hillside. The bed was comfortable, wifi awesome, and great neighbors as well. We would recommend this cute cabin to anyone. Oh and Monica was fabulous and answered our every question.
