Family Tides

House was perfect for our large family. The hot tub worked perfectly, house was stocked and ready for us when we got there. This is our second year here and we absolutely love the house and the management. They are always available for questions or issues you may have. We are excited to come back next year!
Would love to have blinds or curtains on the windows in the kids room, and the extra room upstairs, but that’s all we can think of.

The house had a great view and was sufficiently equipped. Some of the chairs at the dining room table need replacing. I understand half replaced last year and the other half will be replaced this year. That will be very nice. We really enjoyed having the playroom for our kids. Only issue where the number of stairs getting up to the living area. These are required to have such a great view. For older people they were a challenge. Having said that we are returning next year.

Place was great. We plan to go back next year. A few more stairs than expected but worth it.

Downside was couches were completely stained, carpet was also severely stained and lots of dust everywhere. Also chairs needs replaced very uncomfortable they are sunken in. Previous person who booked before me left a complaint not before me and nothing was done about these issues. I’ve booked with shore things for the past 5 years and have always had a well experience all around. Location was nice on this home also and hot tub included.

This is my third time staying at this amazing home and each time it's been awesome! Very roomy, clean and close to the beach. Excellent communication with hosts, hot tub works great, beds are comfortable. Highly recommend this place for a large group, it's very cool and comfortable!

It was dreamy...

We enjoyed our stay for spring break! The house is very kid friendly, packed with games and books for the kids to enjoy. The hot tub worked perfectly, and the adults had a great time too! We plan to be back again next year! Sarah was extremely friendly and helped us out throughout the stay. The shower/tub downstairs never got hot water, which was a little tough with kids (there are two other showers that got hot)and there are no blinds on the kids bedroom windows (nothing that would keep us from renting again). Other than that, our stay was great and we highly recommend renting this house!

Our group came back to Family Tides for the second year in a row and had another wonderful experience. The views are wonderful. The furnishings are comfortable and clean, without being fussy. The instructions are clear. We love that there is enough space for a large group to spread out without feeling disconnected from each other. A few things we noticed were that there were no silicone or rubber spatulas in the kitchen, which explains why most of the nonstick pans are scratched. The non-primary bathroom shower did not get hot - most of our group experienced a cold shower, but the upstairs shower and the primary bedroom shower both seemed to get hot enough. It would be great to have a bit of supplies like foil, saran, etc. available - but Tillamook is a quick drive away and we just purchased our own. None of these items were pressing enough to bother texting the caretaker, just good to know before you get there or items that they may want to check out for their guests. One thing that was a little alarming that you should watch out for is that there is no stop sign at the top of the hill when you approach the highway. One of our group was driving at night and assumed that meant that there would be a stop sign for the oncoming highway traffic - that was a bit scary. I would suggest that the Happy Camp community put a stop sign at that intersection to avoid an accident. All in all we love Family Tides and hope to continue to come back. Thank you!

Enjoyed our stay at this home. It comfortably accommodated 6 adults. View of the ocean was wonderful and the hot tub was relaxing after a chilly walk on the beach. About the only thing that was missing was bathroom mats for each sink in the master bedroom.

This is the third time we've stayed at Family Tides. It's a great place for clamming, crabbing, cooking, walking on the beach, and enjoying the hot tub. The kitchen is well appointed, the house is clean, and the beds are comfortable. The manager was attentive and very helpful. I definitely recommend Family Tides and Shore Thing vacation rentals.

Great clean house with plenty of space. Great ocean view and easy access to the beach. There are a lot of stairs so not the best house for elderly or infirmed. The living room / kitchen area is open with a lot of windows and a nice ocean breeze when the patio doors are open. It was a great place to hang out with the family. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time. The house is much bigger in person than the pictures show. It had everything we needed. Loved the views from the front (beach) and back (forest). Only a 2 minute walk to the beach. We liked the bedrooms being on one floor and the living area on another.

Wonderful! This is the second time we have rented through Shore Thing Vacation Rentals and the whole process was so seamless. This is our favorite part of the coast and we can't wait to be back next spring.

We rented this wonderful property for a family vacation and it was incredible. The views are unbelievable from the upper level and it is absolutely so well equipped with everything you would need for a relaxing vacation. Sarah @sure thing vacation rental was wonderful- she was available to help with anything we needed although everything was great from the minute we checked in until the minute we left. We are planning as a family to make this a yearly trip and to rent this awesome property.

A great home with many layers of rooms, spaces, and activities. Given that it poured rain during our stay, it was so nice to have this space to enjoy and retreat to.

Our group of 6 adults and 3 teens had a wonderful vacation at Family Tides. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of room for everyone to relax. The communication was prompt, friendly and they went above & beyond in communicating with us when we forgot some items at the house that we will go back for. We'll definitely stay here again. As other reviewers mentioned, the dishwasher does not work very well, so I recommend just hand washing the dishes. Those 2 flights of stairs give you commanding views of the sunset each night - well worth the climb!

Great location for beach walks and other hiking nearby and visiting Tillamook. We had plenty of space for 4 couples and a wonderful time.

Loved this house. The views were amazing and the house was well appointed and very nice. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and had tons of space. Walking on the beach and then relaxing in the hot tub was a highlight. We Would recommend this house and look forward to hopefully returning one day.

Our family does a yearly Thanksgiving trip to the coast. Family Tides was exactly as described. Very spacious and well stocked. We are a family of 6 adults and 4 children, ages 6 to 16. With 3 bedrooms and a bunk room it was perfect. The 16 year old loved the extra room off the living area to sleep. He had his privacy at night with his own bathroom. The hot tub was a favorite. Being under a cover made it great for those rainy times. The property manager is the best we have ever dealt with. Kept us well informed and even sent us a text on the day of our arrival that the home was cleaned early if we wanted to check in. Will definitely work with Shore Things Rentals in the future. Oh, did I mention the best part besides the view. The walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes down a level quiet road.

Had our wedding anniversary here, and stayed for 4 days.
There was plenty of space, full equipped, and had everything else that one can ask for. The jet tub on the back porch deck is a huge plus. Really helped with the bone aches!..The beach is just up the road, and you can really get a great view from just the outdoor balcony looking over.
The Guest services Manager Sarah was great at communicating, and made sure we received all the info we needed. We really enjoyed our stay, and look forward to coming back again in the near future. :)

We only had 2 days, but the accomodations could not have been nicer. Great view, easy walk to the beach, comfy beds, and well stocked.

We only spent 2 nights, but the house was clean and met our needs perfectly. We loved the quiet street and easy beach access. The only negative was the ice maker was very, very slow. It would be nice if you provided a couple of plastic ice trays so guests can make their own ice.

We love staying here ! So well situated with a fabulous view! Great hot tub, we loved sitting in there watching the birds ❤️Naveen’s Bayside market is excellent for all your basic needs and right down the street. Really great to share with another family as well!

7 adults enjoyed a comfortable stay. The upstairs living and kitchen area has a beautiful ocean view. Kitchen was well equipped. Having coffee every morning on the deck watching the ocean waves was priceless.

This place was clean and beautiful! We loved the very well-stocked kitchen and were able to use the crock pot, bake a cake and also have things for a delightful seafood soup as well. The house was cozy and well-insulated with beautiful views for our winter trip. The beach was great for clamming and is a very short (1/2 block), quiet walk. We traveled with kids and all enjoyed the space and location. Though the countertops and sinks were all too tall for my four-year old to reach.

easy walk to the beach, low traffic/quiet area. hot tub is bonus. easy check in, good communication. there was mishap with broken shower handle and they were on it. it could use some fresh paint and spot cleaning but really minor details. would definitely come back again.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this house. We have a large family so the rooms are really needed. This home has been clean and met all our expectations. WE love the space and the view is wonderful. Thank you! The managers are so friendly and responsive.

The ocean is a 2 minute walk from the house. The views are spectacular from the front deck.The house offers lots of space for everyone to find a quiet space.The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, pots/pans, coffeemaker, toaster, etc.

This house was amazing for our beach weekend getaway. We had 5 couples and 4 babies under 1 with us and we had more than enough space for the adults and travel cribs. The view was the highlight of the weekend, it was absolutely beautiful with all of the large windows. You won’t regret staying at this house with it’s easy walk to the ocean.

This is our 3rd stay at Family Tides. We love that it is large enough to comfortably accommodate our group of 12. It is beautiful and overlooks gorgeous Netarts Bay. We do a crabbing trip to Netarts Bay every year and this is the perfect home for our family. Our grandkids LOVE the hot tub!

Beautiful and quiet street, and great central location to so many great spots. The condo was clean and the rental company was thorough and provided great details and resources to help make our stay wonderful.

We had a fantastic time at Family Tides. The house was able to accommodate our party of 14 with ease. It never felt over crowded. The house was well equiped and very clean. The outdoor shower was a definite lifesaver for all the sand tracked in from the beach. The location was unbeatable--right by the beach with spectacular views of the ocean. Management very good to work with. I'd stay here again.

Lots of houses available at Happy Camp, so good for larger groups. Most houses have stairs, so if you like exercise great, but if you have problems with stairs, pick you house carefully.

This house has lots of room and a great view. There is a power pole with transformer in you view though. Nice house, but appliances are a little iffy (stove burners not working right, icemaker not making ice, and coffee pot supper slow. Overall, nice house for the money.

Epic. 3 families, (6 adults and 4 kids). PERFECT layout. Ridiculous view. There was a minor issue with the heating, and Sarah the contact person was there in MINUTES - at 1130pm! Had the issue handled in just a few more minutes. Better layout and stocked with items (we are all serious cooks) than any house I've ever stayed in by a long shot. Zero problems or issues except that I'm worried so many good reviews will mean we have less chance of renting again and again.

Family Tides is a beautiful spacious home perfect for a family getaway. It was clean and stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The location is heavenly, just a short walk to the beach with a gorgeous view overlooking beautiful Netarts Bay.

The view from the deck was unobstructed and amazing! The walk to the beach was quick and easy. The best part was the quiet, relaxed neighborhood. Netarts was a peaceful vacation away from the busy tourist towns nearby.

Lovely home... majestic view of the ocean from the ever so spacious family room/dining area/gourmet kitchen/and deck. Nice to have the extra bedroom on the main floor for kiddos to watch tv and play while adults were enjoying the "view"! Fun having the hot tub close by as well. Location is a plus, especially with kiddos, it's just a brief trek to the beach. You don't want to leave... you have the roomy house and beach access all in one! August = sand & sunshine!!

Great house for us - great time on the coast. We had everything we needed. There were a few items not working when we arrived but nothing we couldn't deal with. It was centrally located for our day trips Astoria, Seaside, Lincoln City, Newport, etc.

We have been staying at Family Tides every year for the past eight years. Over the years under the care of different management we noticed a decline in the house and how it was being cared for. It was nice to see a change for the better in this regard now that the house is under new management. The house was cleaner and better stocked with dishes and linens than it has been. There are still things that need repair like the toilet handles in both the bathroom by the bunk bed room and the master bedroom bathroom. Also the master bedroom and other bedrooms have broken blinds. Thank you so much for taking care of this house and allowing us to return to it year after year. We hope to be back next year as well.

We have been renting beach homes at Happy Camp Hideaway for several years now and LOVE the area! This was our first time renting with Shore Thing Vacation Rentals. They were very accommodating and easy to work with. The home was wonderful, the view stunning and the entire experience relaxing.

This was our first time staying at this property and definitely won't be our last. The house is gorgeous, comfortable, well appointed, and has amazing views. We were three families and we had more than enough space for everyone. We loved spending time at the Happy Camp beach and being just a short hop over to the Oceanside beach.

An added bonus was the group of sea lions that laid on the beach across the water. This house has lots of nice amenities including washer/dryer, hot tub, comfy beds, games, movies.
