Vista View Retreat on Netarts Bay

This home has it all. Stunning views, comfortable beds, an amazing kitchen, a cozy light filled sitting room on the top floor, and even a soaking tub in the bathroom. Like the other Shore Thing rental house we use, it was immaculate. We have especially appreciated working with Monica and Sarah over the years. Sarah is incredibly responsive and fun to work with. I have contacted the “other” vacation rental company in the area and they respond with automated replies rather than the personal touch I always get from Monica and Sarah. We look forward to our visits to Netarts all year!

We absolutely loved the views from this house! We enjoyed mornings out on the balcony with coffee and binoculars, watching bald eagles fly by, and lots of boats out on the bay!! It was so neat to watch the very active tidal waters of this area, sometimes the clean sounded and looked so close!! It was lovely to have a covered second porch downstairs with seating and the hot tub-it was still March at the coast and with the on again off again rain, this was such a lovely addition! The hot tub was huge, and so hot and clean! We loved sitting in at night and hearing the ocean as well as the morning while it was pouring outside! The spiral staircase was hard with our senior pup but we carried him up and down and it was still fine, just spent more time upstairs! I didn’t realize there was a third little level with another tv and couches-being up there during the rain was so cool, and even more beautiful watching a sunset from so high up! Easy to explore other places, the host was wonderful, and even ran out of her way to drop off something we needed! The house was clean, well stocked, there was a big bathtub we didn’t use because the hot tub was so wonderful! Beds were firm, I had read this and brought my own creature comfort pillow from home! We would definitely come back here and stay and happily explore this area more!! Thanks for sharing this house with us!

This house was absolutely great for a family stay. Comfortable, well spread out, well equipped, and very clean. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the heating seems to be inconsistent across rooms, but it's easy to work around. We would happy stay here again, especially with the incredible view!

I really enjoy this house. There is now a new hot tub that is gigantic and a new bed in the master bedroom that were pleasant surprises. My partner and I have stayed here many times. It has an incredible view and a great kitchen to cook in. Highly recommend!

The house had great views and a fantastic kitchen.

Toilets were slow flowing and bottom floor one wasn't bolted down. TVs instruction and operation was confusing and cable channels very difficult to access even basic networks. Bbcue was dirty as was big pot for boiling shellfish. Unit was well stocked and clean.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. We had a wonderful time. We like to cook, and the kitchen is well equipped.

The house is well-equipped, beautifully and comfortably furnished. Staff of the agency are professional and helpful. The view is captivating, morning, noon and night.

We were awed by the beautiful views, and friendly local restaurants in Neatarts! We loved our rental location, with all the comforts!

The views at this house were so perfect for our vacation. Between my 86 tr old mom and my uncle with mobility issues, we couldn't have found a better house. They didn't have any crazy amount of stairs and they could enjoy the views all day!! The house was perfectly stocked with everything we could've needed. It was a perfect fit for our needs. I'm a Netarts local and stayed in this lovely home for 4 nights while my house was having some work done. I really didn't want to leave! The house is in great shape and the views are like nothing you've ever seen; absolutely amazing! I've officially found my new "go to" house for friends and family visiting the area. The house was clean and well-stocked and the hot tub was treated and ready to go.. If you rent this home, you won't be disappointed. Additionally, the rental managers were an absolute joy to work with. They left a bouquet of flowers on the counter for my arrival with some tasty chocolates and checked in after I arrived to make sure everything was in order. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

We stayed over spring break and Vista View was perfect for us in so many ways. THe view is spectacular, I would never get tired of it. The house really takes advantage of the views with all the windows and the deck. It allows our dog to come along and he loves the beach. The hot tub is a huge bonus. Upstairs and down it has multiple spaces for our boys to hang out in. It is very clean with new appliances. DOwnstairs is a huge TV and we loved having family movie nights down there. The queen size bed and pillows were very comfortable. Our whole family loved it. The booking process and management company are very responsive and are local which is a big plus.

A stunning property at the top of the hill overlooking the bay and the ocean, it was a very clean and comfortable place to stay. The mattresses were firm and comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, and the managers were incredibly responsive to every inquiry.

Our family and guests really enjoyed the house. It was clean, very spacious, and had a great view. We will come back!

Been booking with shore things for the past 5 years and I’m very happy so far. Great communication. Places are pretty clean. And I’m just happy overall. It would be nice to gain points for discounts but that’s asking for more.

We had such a nice stay at this house. The view is amazing, I could feel myself relax as soon as I stepped into the house and could see the ocean. The kitchen is big and outfitted nicely, it had everything we needed. We tried some of the local restaurants - The Schooner and Nevor Shellfish Farm and they were both excellent. Oceanside beach is so close and a nice place for a long walk. We will definitely be back!

My 3 sisters flew in for my 70th birthday and we spent our time at the lovely vista view home. The views were great, the home was clean and comfortable and the support staff was responsive. Great place to comfortably gather.

Because it's a busy place that takes dogs, it was a risk for me, since I am allergic to fleas. And, sure enough, I got flea bites.

I recommend strongly that the company:
-do not rent for 2 days in a row
-flea bomb all 3 floors
-repeat every few months

That was disappointing but people do not all have their dogs on flea medicine.

The view at this place is absolutely incredible. We loved how spread out everything feels, and loved the fireplaces in the house.

The only small thing was the stairs to downstairs, which were not the most convenient to go up and down, but nonetheless this did not effect how much we loved the place!

We had a great time at the house and it was perfect for our two small families. The kitchen was loaded with supplies which came in handy when preparing our holiday meal. The views were spectacular and we were lucky to have sunny weather in November. We will definitely be back.

We have rented from several vacation rentals in the area. Shore Thing Vacation Rentals has by far provided the best experience. Communication is superb. Regarding the house - it has one of the best views in the area. It was very clean and well appointed. My only caution for future renters would be the spiral staircase to reach the ground floor and hot tub. It did not bother us but for some it could.

This house sits right at the mouth of Netarts Bay and watching the tides come in and out from the picture windows is incredible. The house was in perfect condition, very well-equipped, and our week-long stay went so smoothly. Loved it and hopefully will be back!

The house is fabulous, and the pictures online, albeit great looking, just don't do the view justice. If you're looking for a nice escape to the beach, but might not necessarily be up for adventures this spot is tough be beat. You don't need to leave this house to enjoy the outdoors. You can watch crabbers working their traps right from the the comforts of inside this house...super cool.

A great relaxing vacation spot, clean and beautiful views!

We couldn’t have asked for anything more in regards to the views, location, cleanliness, kitchen, common areas or management staff. The bedrooms were the big problem. The master was very nice but the bed creaked so much it would wake my wife if I got up in the night.The other bedroom was so small that it didn’t have a closet or chest of drawers or small table for personal items. There was barely enough space for luggage. One was on a luggage rack and another was on two bar stools. This room would work best with bunk beds to make room for more furniture. We could have used the large room down stairs but I didn’t want to carry my two 40 lb suit cases down the small spiral staircase.

Clean and comfortable wonderful location

We were looking for a great house that was accessible for someone with a walker, as well as spacious enough for 7. This house was amazing! My dad could easily maneuver his walker through the house and onto the deck. We loved the downstairs with the bunk beds and pull out couch for the kids. We thoroughly enjoyed the view from the deck, it IS as wonderful as the pictures. We sat out there throughout the day and got to experience 2 nights of sunset. Make it a priority to watch the sunset.

We met our family at this property for a weekend at the beach. The house is even better than described and pictured. Everything was clean and the view is spectacular. The property manager was extremely helpful with questions about the house and even helped us solve a medical issue that came up during our stay. Communications in advance of our stay were timely and complete. In addition to the beach, we enjoyed the Tillamook area including the cheese factory and the seafood market where we purchased shellfish for our meals. Children stayed in the downstairs bunk beds and they loved it. Note that the spiral staircase is tight and a bit scary for adults, but the kids didn’t mind it at all. The kitchen was nicely stocked with the things you’ll need with the exception of a large pot. I would stay here again!

My family has stayed at this house two times and we love it. The house has a kitchen that is equipped for all your cooking needs. There is plenty of space and the view of the ocean is spectacular, especially from the hot tub. We have stayed at many places on the coast and love the escape Netarts provides!

While not directly on a beach or with direct beach access, this is an excellent house for a couple or a large family gathering. Plenty of space, well appointed, attention to most details. Kitchen cutlery needs updating and sharpening, needs good French chef's knife and serrated bread knife. Master bedroom mattress could also use some updating.

This home and management team went above and beyond my expectation. Both Monica and Michelle answered all my questions prior to the trip and there was no need to reach out during our four day stay. Vista view is a beautiful home that is well taken care of and has all you will need for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen is stocked, the furniture and beds are comfortable, the master bath has a huge bathtub, and the jacuzzi is private and well maintained. Thank you Shore Thing! Wewill be back!

This really was a great place to spend a group thanksgiving. The house we gorgeous and very roomy. Everything was very nice and comfy inside. The deck overlooking the bay was amazing, and the telescope made it that much better. The house was affordable, pet friendly, in a great location (cute little stroll to the beach at low tide), and the management company was very helpful. Great place!

The home is very nicely furnished. We couldn't have asked for a better view. The hot tub is a nice plus. We'll be back.

Birthday weekend
Very nice house, gorgeous view of the bay, very clean, impressed by how well the kitchen was stocked for a vacation rental. Minimal glitches in that we didn't get the email with the door code easily and the master bathroom sink ran slow, not a big deal. Monica was helpful and responsive. Would definitely rent again.

We had a great time in this very comfortable home - the downstairs was a perfect spot for the kids (ages 8 - 12; the spiral staircase would be too tricky for wee ones) and the views can't be beat. The house was very clean. The dishwasher had a few issues that I told the manager about, but that was our one complaint.

The house sits on a hill and has beautiful views of the ocean from the living room, two bedrooms, loft, and even lower level. My husband, 10-year old son and I were looking for a place to relax. We loved this house and were surrounded by more amenities than we're used to: 180 degree view on two floors, nice deck, hot tub and wood burning fireplaces! We were happy to have the house for 6 nights. That allowed us to visit Oregon Coast towns as far away as Newport. We absolutely loved the views in Depoe Bay and are strongly considering visiting further South next Spring break. Thanks, Monica, for a wonderful place to stay! Our friends wish they had come along!
