The Great Escape

We had the good fortune to stay a few days at the Great Escape. The home is beautifully appointed with high ceilings and large windows overlooking the bay. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and serving pieces. Plus the home is steps from the
beach. Can’t wait to come back!

In spite of a powerful storm, we enjoyed every minute of our 3 night stay. We had excellent customer support, and the house was just the right size for rhe 4 of us. Lots of Scrabble played, and the poer never went out!!

This was our second time renting the Great Escape and it was as perfect and comfortable as our first visit. The home was clean and comfortable, the views were beautiful, and it was amazingly quiet. We would definitely consider a third visit.

This may be my new favorite vacation rental. The home is lovely. The kitchen is well stocked. And it is right on the beach. We loved walking the beach and watching the birds fishing. And it’s a great location to visit the Oregon Coast.

My adult kids and I had a great stay here and the house was perfect. Fantastic kitchen with all the amenities you'd want if you like to cook or bake!

The home's location was near Cape Lookout and Cape Meares, which were both lovely places to walk and enjoy the views.

"The Great Escape" was truly a perfect escape. The property is beautiful with unbelievable views of the bay and ocean. Just steps from the beach. The house has all the amenities that you need for your home away from home. Everything is updated and comfortable.

Such a great house! I would not hesitate to rent it again or refer a friend. My only suggestion is a gas grill....we love to grill and charcoal is not super convenient.

This house was by far the most elegant and spacious home we have stayed at over the past 2 years on happy camp. The master mattress was heavenly! The house was immaculate!

We had a lovely stay at the Great Escape in Happy Camp. The house was super clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed. The house is in great shape and the beachfront location is fantastic. We could have easily stayed for another week. Monica and Sarah (the managers of the property) were on top of every detail and super communicative. We loved staying at “The Great Escape” in Netarts. Beautiful views of the bay, which changed dramatically with the tides. It was fun to watch the people clamming and crabbing!

It was a treat to stay at this home- the views were amazing. The house was beautiful. It was a pleasure to go walking on the beach and learn from the people that were clamming and crabbing- everybody was so willing to share their knowledge with you. It would have been great if the house had some buckets and supplies for clamming since it was literally right there. It also seems like a great place to kayak- maybe next time.

Excellent experience. We stayed in the same house with my parents for 13 summers. The first summer for one week, but the remaining 12 for two weeks. This was the first stay without them. The house is in great condition. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking gear, which really helped since I cooked daily. We noticed updates to the house since our last stay in 2017 (new deck chairs, additional interior wicker chairs, etc.). We will be back again!

This home has an amazing view that pictures cannot do justice. The beach is beautiful and you can walk on it for miles. The house is very nice and well stocked. We were very comfortable here.

One thing I would say is that the windows over the bed in the master need blinds both to reduce light and for privacy.

The management was extremely responsive whenever we had a question.

Last minute we decided to stay. What a beautiful home. Enjoyed the sunrise to the sunset.
