The Vista House

Second time here and we'll be back! What a wonderful home with a fantastic view. Shore Thing vacation rentals are great to work with.

This house has a large open kitchen and living room with views on every side. It was so relaxing. The rooms were beautiful and spacious and the house had everything you could need. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. This is the third house I’ve stayed in from Shore Thing and they’ve all been wonderful. They respond quickly and are always friendly.

My wife and I stayed at this property for two weeks in February. We were looking for a change of scene from our Rocky Mountain home, and we certinally found it at this hilltop house. The wild winter weather was just what we were looking for, and the amazing view added to the drama. We are world travellers and agreed that we have never had such a stunning view anywhere else that we have stayed. The house was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The appliances could stand an upgrade, but everything worked well. Overall, the house was fine for the two of us, but would probably be a little crowded for a group larger than four. This was our second rental from Shore Thing, and I must say that they provide first rate service. If you like to watch birds, the surf, and changing tides you will not find a better perch than this.

Third time staying at this home. It is our once a year go to beach house. We love using Shore Thing for reserving a house, they are the best. The view from this house can't be beat. A very quiet area!!!

My husband and I have traveled for many years and we both agree this is one of the best houses we have ever rented. Very clean, nice decor, comfy beds, nice linens, a complete kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal, privacy and quiet and a view of the ocean and bay that is awesome!!! (And the windows are clean....this is a plus). We saw wildlife, birds and fishing boats that were crabbing...fun to watch from the privacy of your house ! Would highly recommend this home. We plan to return.

From the start of the rental experience, Sarah from Shore Thing answered the phone for every call, making sure we felt like we were the priority. We received quick confirmation of our rental and had no issues getting in to the house with our last minute reservation. The stay was everything she had explained, the view was amazing, the house was loaded with everything needed for the stay and very well accommodating for pets. Thank you for a wonderful end and start to 2023/2024. Happy New Year!

This is our second time spending Christmas here with my family. It's perfect for us (2 couples) and a plus that we can bring our pups. The house is very clean and has everything we need. We especially like that there's a small fenced in area for the dogs. The view is unbeatable.

We had a great time at this property. The house is big and well stalked for any occasion. The description is accurate and it was well maintained.

We spent 4 nights here for Thanksgiving with our family. Stunning view with lots of entertainment in the bay below! It accommodated 6 of us very well with plenty of privacy. Great kitchen and dining space. And we were all impressed with how clean everything was, especially the windows! We will definitely be coming back.

Wow, our stay at the Vista House was exceptional. Everything is top notch, starting with the view and extending to everything within the house itself. Views of the beautiful bay from the back deck are outstanding, windows are perfectly positioned to capture the view from the family room and bedrooms. Appliances, utensils, furniture, and bedding are high quality and are all in great condition. The house is clean and very comfortable. Sarah, our contact at Shore Thing Rental, was friendly, helpful, and responsive to the couple questions we had. Our entire experience was exceptional, we’re going again for sure!

The view is lovely, the house is comfortable and really pleasant, with two especially nice bedrooms (the other one is just fine, but less "main" BR-style), a good kitchen, plenty of bathrooms, a spacious LR/DR, & a great porch. We loved every minute! Definitely recommended.

We really enjoyed our days at the Vista House. We immediately felt at home is the clean and comfortable accommodations. The kitchen is easy and has everything. The beds were comfortable. The large dining table was appreciated. Oh, and the windows provided wonderful views of the Pacific Oceon and the cove. We enjoyed the deck and yard at every opportunity. We walked the spit one day, and hiked in the temperate rainforsent Devil's Cauldron Overlook another day. Our hearts were filled with the beauty. Two nights we walked the 5-some blocks down to the marvelous Schooner Resturant. The staff was great & the trout was outstanding.

Great experience and the house was very suited for our family. Like everyone else, we enjoyed the views and had our own sanctuary from the larger home rented to house the bulk of our family reunion gathering. The house had everything we needed and Sarah was helpful, especially with informing us of some anticipated road work in the area. Would absolutely stay again.

We loved our stay at this property. The views are phenomenal! It was a great space for 5 of us -- four adults and one child. The common areas were perfect for spending time together and playing games and bedrooms and baths were comfortable. Rental staff made check in easy and were very helpful when we needed a bit of assistance. Everything was clean and the property was well-kept, though linens and towels could use an update. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to the area and definitely recommend!

We LOVED our stay at The Vista House. The location was perfect with sweeping views from multiple rooms. The house was clean and well maintained. We appreciated that there was a small patch of fully fenced lawn and that the deck could be closed off making it safer for our dog and our toddler. A few lightbulbs were burned out which we let the property team know, and Sarah stopped by to change them out. This was totally unnecessary but so appreciated! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

this is our second stay at this house, and it’s our favorite beach house by far. the views are incredible from every window and you soak in the beauty from the minute you walk in. Always clean and the manager is very friendly and helpful.

Almost everything was perfect except the weather but we expected that. This was not a big problem but the hot water supply seemed to be a bit inadequate for our family. (4 adults and 2 children) Maybe a plumber should check it out.

This house was amazing. From the incomparable view to the comfortable arrangements to how well stocked it was, this house was perfect for our family.

And when we had a family situation come up, Monica and her team were compassionate and helpful.

We loved our stay for our Christmas vacation. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. The floor plan was perfect for us, being 2 couples. It was so nice and quiet. Upstairs couldn't hear what was happening downstairs, and vise-versa. Having the small fenced in yard for our pups was so nice. We would love to come back again.

Enough room for extended family, beautiful views, all the kitchen stuff needed to enjoy homemade meals and a quick drive to beach access.

Lovely stay.

View was stunning! Everything was clean except for some of the closets. House had everything we needed. My only criticism is that the furniture was pretty uncomfortable and not in the best condition, but it worked great for our annual crabbing trip.

The home was clean and spacious. The view was spectacular, and we enjoyed the deck and outdoor space. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of plates, bowls, glasses, silverware, pots and pans.

We enjoyed our stay in this house. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen well stocked. A few suggestions: change ALL the light bulbs in the house as they are a mess. The main chandelier had 6 sockets with 2 warm, 2 cool, and 2 out bulbs. The lamps and can lights had junky bulbs too. Some throw blankets on couch and beds are needed. It is a chilly area even in summer. The towels could use an upgrade as they are low quality. There were not enough washcloths provided. Also a few rugs (bathroom and bedrooms) would be good.

We had a great time--this house is beautiful, clean and perfect for my sister with her dog. The view could not be better, the service of Shore Thing, better than any other company I have ever worked with.

This vacation rental is properly named Vista House. When you open the front door, be prepared to be stunned. The view is magnificent. We saw bald eagles soaring past, sea lions on the beach and the Three Arch Rocks are in your view. You will never tire of seeing it. The house is a gem. Great layout, spacious, clean, plenty of starter amenities.
The deck has 5 Adirondack chairs on it and around the side of the house is a grill.
5 of us stayed there and there was plenty of room.
We had a few questions which were answered immediately.
Bars, small grocery stores nearby and larger grocery stores just a short drive away.
If you are ever in Oregon I would recommend this vacation home.

Expansive view of the bay and open ocean beyond the spit. This was wonderful for those in our group who didn't necessarily want to go to the beach all of the time, but wanted to see the ocean. The house was very clean and we had plenty of room for the 6 of us to spread out. Gorgeous views from the upstairs master bedroom! Main floor bedroom also had great views and was wonderful for those who don't do stairs. Two resident bunnies that came out of the shrubs morning and evening. Eagles that flew by periodically. House is high above the bay with no traffic to deal with. Hills are steep so it does require a short couple of minute drive to the beach. Lovely restaurant down by the bay for fish and chips, chowder and crabmac. Fabulous location for clamming, crabbing and shore fishing. Customer service was exceptional, making for a worry free vacation.

Vista House sits on a bluff overlooking Netarts Bay with beautiful views over the ocean, gorgeous sunsets on sunny days, and surprisingly gorgeous sunrises, too. The great room of the house is spacious and comfortably furnished. The kitchen is well-appointed. The house is clean and well-managed.

We absolutely enjoyed our visit. The home is beautiful and the views-AWESOME!!

We had a great stay. The bedroom and bathroom on the main floor was extremely nice for my elderly parents. Lots of space, well equipped home.

Vista House is a beautiful home overlooking Netarts Bay and the open ocean beyond. The house is spacious and clean. Property managers are helpful and responsive. It would be helpful to have a sign at the final turn to the house. It is a small road with no signage. Would definitely rent this house again!

The panoramic view of the Pacific from this home is incredible and, by far, the best feature of this property. The decor is cheerful and welcoming. The side yard is a nice amenity, too, with lovely landscaping and grassy space. Each bedroom has its own connected full bath. The property was clean, the internet connection strong enough for work and video conferencing, and overall a great place for us to stay!

A lovely house for two couples who were traveling together. The view was incredible and the house was superb. Had everything that we needed. Only wish we could have stayed there longer. Perfect place for us to stay while exploring the coast

Our family spent a great two days at the Vista House and would absolutely come back. It was cozy and well maintained. The location is the main draw, though- and it is stunning. The house is a great home base for hiking, beachwalking, and everything else. The house is very much as described on VRBO and there were no surprises. The house is well-loved and as such there were a few very minor upkeep issues that need some attention, but they did not detract from the wonderful visit.

The best. Will definitely rent again. Comfortable and clean.

Beautiful home with perfect views

Our stay was great. The house was nice, clean, with an amazing view. The rental agency was stellar and it was nice to ask for some recommendations. The location was great, close to the beach and a short drive to much longer stretches of coast. The house was very nice and comfortable. Some extra cutting boards and new or sharpened knives would be a welcomed addition as larger groups likely want to cook in the space.

The Vista House was everything we hoped and more. Located high on the hill overlooking the bay and sea was breathtaking the second you walk through the door! There are beautiful beaches in the area & easy access so who needs to be right on the beach! Vista House has actually 3 master bedrooms so perfect for 3 couples or a family. Tillamook is a 10 minute drive east & Oceanside is 10 minutes north where you will find the best beach right next to our favorite, Rosanne Restaurant! Walk down the road from Vista House and rent a boat & crab in Netarts bay...they will even clean them for you but thats half the fun Sarah of STVR, LLC was outstanding and offered to be available should we need anything at the home! Its our 12th year renting in Netarts and our family will be back for years to come.

We rented this home for the fenced in area and views, but we go a lot more! I would love to live here if I could. A fresh flower and welcoming note was left on our arrival. Super nice touch! The views are breathtaking! The kitchen, laundry room and half-bath are just where they needed to be. The other rooms upstairs were great for the kids to feel like they had their own spaces. The views out the west facing bedroom was amazing. My daughter did her schooling up there (what a treat!). Each room has its own full bathroom. The counters in the master were a bit tall for this group - I used a stool. Schooners is super close and yummy. Fred Meyer and Safeway are in Tillamook. There are a few neighborhood stores that have groceries - you’ll end up spending more, but good if you want to take a walk. We ate samosas and Mac and cheese one night - the samosas were delicious. The kitchen had everything we needed, but if you want to cook your own crab, bring a big stock pot. A cutting board that isn’t melted and warped would have been nice, too. We made do. There were enough utensils and other dishes for the five of us. We did not want to leave.

My husband and I met our family for a few relaxing days to get away from all the noise and rejuvenate. The home is exactly as described - beautiful views from every room and very comfortable all around. There were only 4 of us, two couples, so it was perfect as there are two master bedrooms with one being upstairs and the other downstairs for privacy and separation. If one couple is on a different time zone, like our cousins were, then having a downstairs bedroom when they get up "very" early is a plus!!

The kitchen was large and had everything you needed. Although, I will add that the microwave is old and needs updating to defrost or warm things up. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable which is always a hit and miss with homes listed on VRBO. We have stayed in beautiful places only to find the beds to be old and uncomfortable which easily ruins a trip.

The only disappointment that we found was there was not an outside dining table or chairs to enjoy meals while looking at that fantastic view. The inside dining room does face the view but it would be nice to have some type of set up to have a glass of wine while reading a book or a dining option on the deck.

Overall, we loved this find and are planning another trip next year if the property is still available.

We loved the house. Beautiful view of Netarts Bay and ocean. We took our dogs and having a fenced back yard was fantastic. Each family had their own sleeping quarters with full bath then there was a half bath off the kitchen. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and dishes. We cooked breakfast and dinners at the house
